When my husband and I retired to rural Ireland in 1998 our friends asked us what we planned to do all day. The options have been endless! Tim has restored his family’s centuries-old cottage in Killyteane; he has built a studio for my patchwork projects; he has roamed our fields with Basil and Dill, our border collies. I have become a volunteer at Cavan County Museum and organize the annual Lakeland Quilt Fair; I enjoy teaching quilting all over this island; and I play bridge as much as the traffic will allow.
